Before Memorial Day in 1922, the VFW conducted the first poppy distribution,
becoming the first veterans' organization to organize a nationwide
distribution. The poppy soon was adopted as the official memorial flower
of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, as it remains
Today, our Buddy Poppies are still assembled by disabled and needy veterans in VA Hospitals.
There is a regular meeting April 15th at 8pm. We will have nominations and elections and installation at that meeting. We will comply with social distancing and have just an informal meeting. If you have questions please call me 216 403-1292.
